Archive for March, 2010

With it comes British Summer Time, my daughter’s birthday, wedding season, and daffodils! They’re my mom’s favourite flower, and they always make me smile.

Wedding season officially begins Easter weekend for Over the Rainbow Photography. I can hardly wait. :D The introductory wedding specials are valid on all bookings made by 31/03/2010, so get in touch soon if you’re interested. On that note, there was a glitch in the contact form this morning. It has now been updated and tested and is working fine. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to me, and I try to respond to every message within 24 hours. If you haven’t received a reply to your email or phone message within 2-3 working days please assume I haven’t received it and try again. If Naomh the New Year’s Eve bride sees this, please resend your query or email me directly as I got your message but no contact details! I would love to meet with you to discuss your wedding photography needs.

This is an old photo taken with a point&shoot camera, but that doesn’t make me like it any less. :) spring in northern ireland

Happy spring, everyone!

Happy Mother’s Day

March 14, 2010

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mums out there. :)

I was treated to a box of chocolates and a relaxing day spent with my favourite people. Bliss!

An engagement session (pre-wedding photo shoot) is a great chance to get to know your photographer and become more comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. It’s also an opportunity to get images to use in guestbooks, save the date cards, a display at the wedding, or just to have some nice relaxed photos of you and your partner.

I offer a complimentary engagement shoot with any wedding package booking. If you book a couple’s shoot with me and then subsequently book a wedding package (within 60 days), I’ll even credit the session fee toward your package price. :) Of course, you don’t have to be engaged to schedule a couple’s photo session! It can be a fun way to celebrate an anniversary or just say ‘I love you.’

I have a bad case of spring fever. These slightly longer, sunny days remind me that spring is just around the corner. I am itching to put away the big coat! I guess I can be patient – after all, I do love the absolutely gorgeous late winter light: natural winter light portrait

You may have noticed the new ‘Weddings’ tab in the menu up there. I’m very excited about it and will post more soon!
